Production

The Wellman-14A was developed by Cavrish gunsmith Byrne Wellman in the town of Corveny shortly before the start of the 4th TMIU War. The weapon was originally designed for use by the Cavrish Military as a standard service pistol. The first models of the weapon were produced personally by Byrne and a small group of peers shortly after the design was finalized. The models were submitted to the Cavrish Military Soon after for testing and the weapon was adopted just before the start of the 4th TMIU War, Byrne being paid $84,000 for the design. The weapon quickly became the most widely produced pistol in Caverland with 1.1 million models having been produced as of the 4th TMIU War.

Distribution

Cronas

The Cronan Military acquired 120,000 models in an arms trade with Caverland.

GII

The Gezan Military ordered 68,000 models from Caverland and began producing their own models.

TM Resistance

The Resistance captured 3,300 models from a Black Market vessel shortly after the start of the 4th TMIU War.

Service

The Wellman-14A first saw action with Cavrish troops in the Battle of Taupakura during the 4th TMIU War. The weapon was used primarily as a sidearm and was known for its reliablility in harsh environments. However, if the weapon was disassembled and the front pin not driven in completely the weapon would produce a loud clink when fired.
