Overview
Perkenson (often called Pilot Perkenson) is a dedicated Austrian pilot who allied himself with the IU. He is the former Aerial Commander of the ZMA and has a strong passion for flying, which he sees as an art. He is known for flying WW1 era planes with his favorite being the Albatros D.III.
Early Life
Perkenson was born on August 16th, 1984 in Regger, Austria to a fairly wealthy farming family. Perkenson's father (Willi Perkenson) often worked in the family field with a number of assistants as well as his younger brother (Haffsel Perkenson) while his mother (Gertrude Jakobs) attended university to become an engineer. Perkenson attended school at a Catholic church in the nearby village of Oberhof, graduating from the school in 1998 at the age of 14. On September 9th, 2002 (when Perkenson was 18) he began attending the same engineering university as his mother in Graz, Austria. He later graduated and began working in aircraft mechanics, using his income to buy a reproduction WW1 biplane (particularly a Albatros D.III.) In 2007 (when he was 23) Perkenson earned his Pilot's License and left home to live in Graz and began flying more often. This soon developed into a deep love and appreciation of flying.
Work on Trumpland
On December 12th, 2016 (when he was 32) Perkenson was forced to make an emergency landing on Trumpland while flying his Albatros when the fuel tank started leaking. Shortly after landing he was approached by Trumpland officials and asked to join the budding ZMA as a Flying Ace. Perkenson accepted, hoping he would find other pilots on Trumpland who were as dedicated to flying as he was and began working for Trumpland shortly after.
In October 2019, Perkenson officially cut all ties with Trumpland and instead chose to side with the IU. He revealed to Tramph McDonald that he had been aiding the IU for months at that point, to the president's rage.
Current Situation
Perkenson is currently residing in the Genbu Crash Site. Rumor has it that he is aiding in its restoration.
Values
Perkenson values flying over all else, viewing flying as an art akin to visual or performing arts. Although he cares about the safety and well being of others he finds it hard to maintain these feelings in his work on Trumpland. He is also a Christian, though he does not regularly attend church.
Personality
Perkenson is naturally defensive and shot tempered, often finding others obnoxious and having trouble decerning legitimate questions from sarcastic ones. Although he is dedicated he often prioritizes dedication to his art and family over dedication to his work or faith.

Scarf
Perkenson almost always wears a red scarf when flying. The scarf itself was sewn by his younger brother and has the German phrase "Sie können den Himmel erreichen" ("You can reach the sky") embroidered on it in gold lettering.

Perkenson often carries a P2L with him while flying as well as various attachments for the weapon, allowing him to modify it to suit the situation.
