Production

The CMav 99 was developed by Amdian gunsmith Caddetti Ovolan in the town of Mavirra shortly before the start of the 3rd TMIU War. The weapon was originally designed to be sold to the Amdian Mafia for profit. The first prototype of the weapon, dubbed the CMav 90 (Caddetti Mavirra 90), lacked the perforated barrel cover of the final design as well as having a vertical fore grip as opposed to a horizontal fore grip. A small number of prototype models were developed personally by Caddetti and sold to the Amdian Mafia. Shortly after Caddetti was contracted by the Amdian Military to develop a military version of the weapon. This lead to the weapon’s design being finalized and submitted to the Amdian Military. The weapon was adopted soon after and Caddetti was paid $72,000 for the design.
